Indiana State Flag Details
Spread your love for your home state with an Indiana flag for sale. Display your flag indoors or outdoors for an extended period due to the durable material and print. Our flags are made from an outdoor flag polyester, which is lightweight but also tear-resistant to withstand varying elements. The wind, rain, snow, heat, and other conditions won’t ruin the fabric. We print the design on the flag using a state-of-the-art dye sublimation technique. This prevents the print from peeling off the material because the ink is ingrained into the fabric. The artwork is printed on one side and the reverse image bleeds through to the other side, keeping the flag lightweight but also allowing the design to be visible from both sides. If you need hardware for setting up your state flag of Indiana, add on either a handheld pole set or a wall-mounted pole to your order. The handheld option is great for carrying the flag around while the wall mount secures the flag to porches and storefronts. These state flags are great for a variety of locations and are designed to last.

Indiana Flag History
The Indiana General Assembly came up to the idea of a Indiana state flag to celebrate the state’s centennial in 1916. The Daughters of the American Revolution sponsored a contest to come up with the design. The winning design was submitted by Paul Hadley. His original artwork did not include the word “Indiana” at the top. That was added by the Assembly to go above the torch. It became the official state banner in 1917 and has remained unchanged. The dimensions were specified in 1955.
Indiana State Flag Meaning
Gold Torch: The predominant torch on the flag is meant to represent liberty and enlightenment. Rays are shown around to torch to stand for influence.
Stars: There are 19 stars around the torch on the Indiana flag. This is because Indiana was the nineteenth state to join the United States Union. 13 stars outline the whole design, representing the 13 original colonies. Indiana is symbolized with the star placed above the torch and below the word “Indiana”.
