When Creating Your Artwork:
- CMYK color mode
- Use Pantone® Color Bridge® colors whenever possible
- Design at a 1:10 ratio (products smaller than 16” x 16” will be designed at a 1:1 ratio)
- Keep important elements within the gray image safety line
- Minimum resolution of 360 dpi on polyester fabrics
- Minimum resolution of 800 dpi on vinyl & rigid materials
- Vector art preferred
- Convert all fonts to outlines
- Embed all images and links
- Design to bleed line
- Double-check your grammar and spelling

Vinyl Options
Indoor
Are you planning on installing the Christmas banners indoors, such as hanging them from the ceiling or mounting them to the wall? There are two indoor vinyl materials that you can choose from. There is an Indoor Vinyl and an Indoor Opaque Vinyl. Both materials are for indoor use, but they are also weather-resistant and UV-protected so that they will last a long time. The difference between the vinyl options is that the Indoor Vinyl has a matte finish while the Indoor Opaque Vinyl has a sleeker satin finish. The material you choose depends on how you want the outdoor Christmas banners to feel.
Outdoor
Lots of businesses and homes, however, also place Christmas banners outdoors, such as across the side of a building or in front of a church. If you would like to display the banner outdoors, there are three vinyl materials to select from. It is important to consider what kind of weather the banner will have to face. If the location is windy, we suggest getting the Mesh Vinyl. This material is perforated so that the wind does not ruin the vinyl. There is also the option between the 18oz or 23oz Opaque Vinyl. If you are in an area where there is a lot of snow and different kinds of weather, we recommend the 23oz Opaque Vinyl, because it is for heavy duty. If, on the other hand, the setting is milder and calmer with not a lot of harsh weather conditions, try the 18oz version, which is for lighter outdoor setups.
Finishing Options
Think about how you want to set up your Christmas banners. Are you using hardware? What kind of finishing will your banner need to be compatible with the hardware? Consider these questions when you are deciding what finishing to get:
Grommets: If you are hanging the Christmas welcome banner with bungee cords from a ceiling or across a wall, select grommets. You can add grommets to the four corners of the banner or every 1.5ft.
Ultra-Strong Adhesive Tabs: This finishing is also for hanging the banner with bungee cords. You can get adhesive tabs on the four corners or around the banner’s perimeter.
Pole Pockets: If you are using a hardware set that includes poles to set up your banner, such as a post, get pole pockets on the top or the top and bottom of the banner.
Hemmed Sides: Mount the signs to a wall indoors and outdoors without hardware by getting the sides hemmed. Having the sides hemmed prevents the edges from tearing for durable use.
Cut Sides: For a classic, simple look, choose cutting the sides. This option is for installing the Christmas banners without hardware or in a frame or on a canvas.
