Vinyl Options

Indoor

When you are in the car business, chances are you work indoors and outdoors. Luckily, we have vinyl materials to accommodate both indoor and outdoor use for a long banner life. If you are placing the automotive banners indoors, such as in a car showroom or in an expo center, there are two options to select from. We have Indoor Vinyl and Indoor Opaque Vinyl. While these materials are for indoor display, the vinyl is weather-resistant, and UV protected for durability. What makes them different is that Indoor Vinyl has a textured matte finish while the Indoor Opaque Vinyl has a smooth satin finish.

Outdoor

For outdoor settings, such as cars setup by the road or the front of a building, we carry three outdoor vinyl materials. If your automotive banners need to stand up to a lot of wind and changing weather, there is the Mesh Vinyl material. This option is perforated so that the wind passes through the banner rather than pushes against it, which keeps the auto repair shop signs in great shape. There is also the 18oz and 23oz Opaque Vinyl options. Both materials are weather-resistant and have UV protection for long term use, but the 18oz version is for lighter outdoor use compared to the more heavy-duty 23oz option. Think about how long you want your banner to be outdoors and what kind of weather it will have to stand before selecting your material.

Automotive Banners Finishing Options

Selecting a finishing option depends on how the automotive signs will be set up and with what hardware. We have several finishing options to choose from to suit a variety of display methods:

Grommets: If you would like to hang your auto parts banner from the ceiling or from a truck with bungee cords, choose getting grommets. Install grommets in the four corners of the banner or on every 1.5ft of material, which we recommend if the banner is long.

Ultra-Strong Adhesive Tabs: Adhesive tabs serve the same purpose as grommets except they are not as noticeable. Adhesive tabs connect to bungee cords to hang the auto repair signs. Add them in the four banner corners or around the perimeter.

Pole Pockets: If you are using a banner frame with poles to set up the automotive banners, choose the pole pocket finishing. You can get pole pockets on the top of the banner or, for a tauter look, the top and the bottom.

Hemmed Sides: Place the banner on an indoor or outdoor wall without hardware by getting the sides hemmed. Having the sides hemmed prevents the edges from tearing so that the banner remains in pristine condition.

Cut Sides: If you are placing the auto shop banners in a frame or on a canvas in an office, have the sides cut. This finishing accommodates simpler setups without hardware and is for light outdoor or long-term indoor use.
