Pennsylvania State Flag Details
Let everyone see how proud you are of your state by displaying a Pennsylvania flag for sale at your home or business. These flags were designed for indoor and outdoor use due to their strong material and print. The flag is made from outdoor flag polyester, which is a knitted material that’s tear-resistant to prevent the weather from ripping the fabric. We print the design using a dye sublimation process, which infuses the ink into the fabric, so the artwork doesn’t scratch or peel off. The design is printed on one side of the material and the mirror image bleeds through to the other side, saving you on printing costs. If you need hardware to install your flag, add on either a wall mounted pole set or a hand-held flagpole kit. These 3x5 flags are the perfect size for any location and are large enough to catch the eye of anyone walking or passing by your display. Spread some state pride by setting up these PA state flags.

PA Flag History
The design for the flag of Pennsylvania includes the state’s coat of arms. The seal was created in 1777 and legislature was created to add the seal to a Pennsylvania state flag in 1799. Pennsylvania’s original flag was intended for military use, but a version of the flag was approved for non-military display in 1907, which is the version that is still used today. The seal is also featured on the governor’s flag, except the background is white instead of the standard blue. There have been some attempts to add the word “Pennsylvania” to the flag to make it more identifiable, but no changes have been made.
Pennsylvania Flag Meaning
Blue: The blue background of the flag is, by law, supposed to be the same blue used in the United States flag.
Coat of Arms: The emblem features a ship meant to show how Pennsylvania’s resources are transported throughout the world, a plough to represent the natural resources of the state, and wheat to stand for the farming land, as well as the thoughts and action of the people. An olive branch is below the emblem to represent peace. The state motto is also featured on the Pennsylvania state flag, “Virtue, Liberty and Independence.” The bald eagle at the top stands for loyalty to the United States. The coat of arms is flanked by horses on each side.
