Artwork Requirements:
Download the product template, insert your artwork, and re-upload the file.
Acceptable file types: PDF (preferred), AI, EPS, PSD, TIF, JPG, PNG, INDD
Note: Your template file must have all images embedded, layers & transparencies flattened, template lines removed, and saved as 1 page at the highest or maximum quality.
When Creating Your Artwork:
- CMYK color mode
- Use Pantone® Color Bridge® colors whenever possible
- Design at a 1:10 ratio (products smaller than 16” x 16” will be designed at a 1:1 ratio)
- Keep important elements within the gray image safety line
- Minimum resolution of 360 dpi on polyester fabrics
- Minimum resolution of 800 dpi on vinyl & rigid materials
- Vector art preferred
- Convert all fonts to outlines
- Embed all images and links
- Design to bleed line
- Double-check your grammar and spelling

Design Homecoming Banners Online
We have three ways to customize your homecoming banner template. Choose which of the following options best suits your design preferences:
Design Online: Are you familiar with online applications? Use our design tool to craft a unique banner template. In our online suite, you can upload photos and business logos, insert clipart and backgrounds, and personalize text boxes.
Upload Artwork Template: Do you have a design program that you prefer using? If so, download our banner template link onto your computer so that you can create your design in the software. When you are done, send the graphic to us for printing.
Free Design Services: Do you need help with what to include in your design or with the entire design process? Let our professional designers customize your banner template free of charge. You will receive an artwork proof to look over before we print your banners.
Vinyl Options
Indoor
Depending on what you are using the homecoming signs for, they will be setup either indoors or outdoors. It is important to know where you want to display the banners and which vinyl material you require. If you would like to assemble them indoors, we offer two indoor vinyl materials to choose from. We have Indoor Vinyl and Indoor Opaque Vinyl. Both materials are weather-resistant and UV-protected, but the difference between the two is that the Indoor Vinyl has a matte finish, and the Indoor Opaque Vinyl has a more reflective satin finish.
Outdoor
What if you want to place the homecoming banners outdoors? We have three vinyl materials that we recommend for outdoor setups. When deciding on your vinyl material, think about what kind of weather the banner will have to resist and how long the banner will be outdoors. If the banner will be in a windy location for a long period, try the Mesh Vinyl. This option is perforated, which allows the wind to pass through the banner rather than push against it, which could damage the print. For other long-term applications in constantly changing weather, we have the 23oz Opaque Vinyl, which is weather-resistant and UV-protected. If you plan on displaying your homecoming banner in lighter weather for a shorter period and do not want to spend money on heavier fabrics, we recommend choosing the 18oz Opaque Vinyl option.
Homecoming Signs Finishing Options
Another important thing to know when ordering your banner is how you will be setting it up. Choose a proper finishing instruction that is compatible with how you will install the homecoming signs:
Grommets: Get grommets in the four corners of the banner or on every 1.5ft of vinyl. Grommets are for hanging the banner with bungee cords from a ceiling, a wall, or on a post.
Ultra-Strong Adhesive Tabs: Add adhesive tabs to the four corners of the banner or, if it is long, around the banner’s perimeter. Tabs are also for hanging the banner with bungee cords.
Pole Pockets: Choose between getting pole pockets on the top or the top and the bottom of the banner. These pockets are for installing the homecoming banner on a banner stand with pole sets.
Hemmed Sides: Get hemmed sides with one of the above finishing instructions or get them by themselves. These sides are resistant to tearing, making them perfect for long term applications.
Cut Sides: For a clean-cut finish that is versatile, get the sides cut. This is great for light use without hardware or for placing the homecoming signs in a frame or on a canvas.
